The Honda Transalp — priced at P598,000 — is a solid option for those looking for a reliable off-road motorcycle. With its pros easily outweighing its cons, the Honda Transalp is a bike that’s easy to fall in love with. Photos from Juan Paulo Papa and Ruben Manahan IV. The Transalp is powered by the new 755cc Parallel-Twin engine that debuted on the Honda Hornet, which has as of now is still not available for North America. With the XL750 adventure bike now confirmed for the U.S. market, that does renew hope that the standard CB750 Hornet will also be imported. There is no indication about when American Honda Don't buy it and move on. IMHO it's always been more of an Adventure Tourer, not and Off Road Adventure motorcycle. Honda did cut corners on this bike to keep it at a price point but they didn't market it as something it's not. They didn't call it the XL750 Dakar Rally, it's the Transalp, like always.

It also sports an attractive paint job with the classic HRC colours: red, white, and blue; and which is also a clear nod to the original Transalp from 1987. The bike will be powered by an 800cc parallel twin engine, meaning Either way, the DE hasn’t got the natural enthusiasm for off-road of the Ténéré or Tuareg (check back etc for the Honda Transalp verdict), whose loose, jangling, chuck-it-and-tuck-it vibe is more readily apparent – but the DE is way more capable than either the 650 or 1050 V-Strom, and is probably more akin to the off-road chops of Honda oa1J3b.
