The Transalp is powered by the new 755cc Parallel-Twin engine that debuted on the Honda Hornet, which has as of now is still not available for North America. With the XL750 adventure bike now confirmed for the U.S. market, that does renew hope that the standard CB750 Hornet will also be imported. There is no indication about when American Honda Don't buy it and move on. IMHO it's always been more of an Adventure Tourer, not and Off Road Adventure motorcycle. Honda did cut corners on this bike to keep it at a price point but they didn't market it as something it's not. They didn't call it the XL750 Dakar Rally, it's the Transalp, like always.

The new 755cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin four-stroke powering the Transalp is somewhat of a head scratcher. While the engine is outfitted with commonplace 270-degree crank rotation for that torquey mid-range punch, it is also of the very oversquare variety with a bore and stroke of 87.0mm x 63.5mm.
